In late January of 2022, Emma connected with the southern rock jam-band "HighSpeed Dream". After meeting through mutual friends, the group of five spontaneously played for a local college fraternity event together. For the first time, John McMaster (Lead Guitar), Jake Mitchum (Rhythm Guitar), Devin Robinson (Drums), Andrew Bates (Bass), and newly added Emma Gullo (Lead Vocals) performed together for an audience.

An overwhelmingly positive response from the crowd encouraged the new group to go for their university's 2022 "Battle of the Bands" competition. The winner of the contest would open for the university's upcoming Homecoming Concert on February 25th, which also features Macon favorite Highway49 ((@highway49music)) with headliner FLO RIDA ((@official_flo)).

After meeting only a month prior to the audition date, HighSpeed Dream performed a funky, lively set for a panel of judges and their peers - Superstition (Stevie Wonder), Black Magic Woman (Santana), Colors (Black Pumas), Lochloosa (J.J. Grey & Mofro).

At the end of the night, the announcement was made that HighSpeed Dream was the WINNER of GCSU's 2022 "BOTB"! The group is so excited to continue their collaboration for GCSU's Homecoming Concert and already has booked venues post-February.

They are extremely excited to see where this all leads!
